Kate has worked and been involved with fashion, textile design and style for her entire adult life. Starting with a keen interest growing up in North London and continuing with a degree in textile design from Loughborough University. Her career started before graduation and continued after with freelance work including window displays for some of London's most exclusive shops, embellishment design for renowned fashion houses and exhibiting her work alongside her inspirational contemporaries. Kate successfully followed this with 14 years of freelance design in couture and high street fashion. Having been exposed to such a broad and diverse range of clients, markets and end uses, it has put Kate in a unique position to create stunning embroidered pieces. One's to treasure forever.
Kate is currently juggling her work, husband, two children and a tiny pooch in her life on the Essex coast. |
