Illustrative hand embroidered patch pocket workshop - Sat 19th Oct 2024
Come and join me in my sunny studio in Essex. We'll be learning the art illustrative hand embroidery and creating wonderful and pretty patch pockets to take home to sew onto one of your garments of your choice?
You can either design your own drawings or use some of my pre drawn designs for the pockets.
Fabric, thread and hoops provided along with a few yummy snacks and tea and coffee.
This illustrative style of embroidery can get translated onto other items in your home once you've mastered the style.

The Posy pocket jacket is embroidered onto a large and loose dark blue cotton jacket. It's such an amazing contrast on the blue and would look so cool with either a skirt or trousers.
This jacket came without a size guide but I would say it is a large size 12/14.
I'm a size 10/12 and it's a very loose fit on me - pls see photos

I've added some black and white gingham patches on the front collar along with very pretty floral embroidery!! The moons on the back panel add an extra story to the embroidery. I love it!!

The Flower patch gilet is a quilted vintage gilet which I have embroidered onto. The styling of this garment is so on trend with the tie front and pretty floral print underneath my embroidery. I was tempted to keep this but sadly it's a bit too short for me. I am 5'9" and it would be better suited to someone who isn't quite as tall as me?
It's a size 10/12 and fits me well (I'm a size 10/12) other than the length!
